In short: Extend Axis collects no personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. There are no accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking.
Overview
Extend Axis is built with privacy as a first principle. All data you enter stays on your device. We do not operate servers, collect personal information, or share anything with third parties.
Information We Do Not Collect
We never collect, transmit, or have access to:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your location
- Your health or fitness data
- Analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
- Advertising identifiers or any other identifiers
There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no backend servers associated with this app.
Data Stored on Your Device
Everything you enter — workout logs, exercises, routines, training plans, water intake, journal entries, gear, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. It leaves your device only if you turn on iCloud sync, use Apple Health, or export it yourself, as described below.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you turn on iCloud sync, your app data is synced across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. It is stored in your private iCloud database, which only you can access. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy govern that storage. We cannot access your iCloud data.
Apple Health (Optional)
Extend Axis can read from and write to Apple Health (HealthKit). This is entirely opt-in, and you choose which data types to allow in the iOS Health permissions screen. Depending on what you allow, this can include:
- Workouts, activity rings, steps, distance, flights climbed, and exercise and stand time
- Active and resting energy, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen
- Body weight, sleep, mindful minutes, and water intake
Health data is used only within the app to show your fitness information and to log completed sessions and water. It is never sent off your device by Extend Axis, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or marketing. You can change or revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices.
Apple Watch
If you use the Extend Axis Apple Watch app, data such as workouts in progress, step counts, water logs, and today's plan is shared directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. No data passes through any external server.
Network Requests You Initiate
The app makes no network requests of its own. The only exception is the optional Web Tile on the Dashboard: if you add one, the app downloads the JSON file at the web address you enter, directly from that server. As with any web request, that server can see your device's IP address and the time of the request. No personal data or app data is sent with the request. Please only add addresses you trust.
Links you tap in the app (for example, the developer website or donation links) open in your browser and are governed by those websites' own privacy policies.
Exports
You can export your data (workout routines, training plans, and session logs) as JSON or CSV files. Exports happen only when you start them, and the files go wherever you choose to save or share them. We have no visibility into exports.
Third-Party Services
Extend Axis does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or data brokers. There are no ads in the app.
Deleting Your Data
Because your data is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud account, you are in full control of it:
- Erase everything: in the app, go to Settings → Data → Erase All Data. This removes all app data from your device and from your iCloud sync, and cannot be undone.
- Delete the app: deleting Extend Axis removes its on-device data. Synced iCloud data can be managed in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
- Apple Health: data the app wrote to Apple Health stays there until you delete it in the Health app.
Your Privacy Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of the sale of your personal data. Because Extend Axis does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data, we hold nothing to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf — you can manage all of your data directly on your device as described above. Children
Extend Axis collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
